Every podcast, journal or book that I have read on health and upstream work boils down to these few steps. If u can get them right, u will be in great shape. A thread

1) Move. Though 10000 steps is just a number but a good goal to keep. This should be one keystone habit
2. Lift. Do strength training. Twice a week Four movements X 3-5 sets X 3-5 reps at 80% one rep max is good

3. Cardio - Not needed if u do 10000 steps but good to bring in for endurance and heart health.
4. HIIT once a week is good to improve anaerobic capacity
5. Sunlight - One of the most important thing that u can do for ur health is spending some time early in the morning

6. Protein- Make sure to get in 1.5-2gm protein per kg body weight.
7. Fibres - Aim to have 15 gms fibre per 1000 calorie. Half plate every meal preferably should be veggies.

8. Dietary fat is important for brain and hormone health.
9. Processed Sugar best avoided.
10. Fasting has its own advantage but u can do without it if u are managing ur calories. If u eat ur protein and fibre , u will not feel the hunger for rightly processed carbs

What makes some people exceptionally distinct?

1. Stand Out. Stand for something. Be willing to stick our neck out a little bit. Stand for something knowing that not everyone is going to agree with them. You should be able to stand out so that people can recognise what do you stand for.

2. Be your own boss. Manage your own career. Think about where do I want to go next. What do you want to accomplish this year to enhance your career growth. Take this upon yourself to proactively look at ways to grow your career

3.Forget the ladder growth. You reach somewhere and then get stuck there for few years and then you update your resume and try to take next step on the ladder. In todays world it should be Ramp growth.Manage your career every single day with everything you do.

Ask yourself what am I doing today that's going to enhance my career. Ask in every meeting you have, how is this meeting going to advance my career. Is this phone call adding value towards my goal.Every step you take, like walking on a ramp, should advance your growth.

Keep business away from personal time. Most of the times while visiting them, my clients take me out for dinner post meeting. Avoid talking business during meals. Even if you’re at a business lunch, don’t start talking shop until you’re done with the dessert.

When meeting or pitching to clients, people tend to make the mistake of talking about how much the customer is going to benefit, while avoiding the subject of what they’ll get out of the deal. Be transparent and upfront about how both the client, and yourself, will benefit.

If you make a mistake, like we did recently by shipping a wrong product,be apologetic and go the extra mile by making a gesture of goodwill free shipping on their next order.This way,you’re likely to keep the customer,who may even spread the word about how great your service is.

Do some homework about what the company is doing new by researching about them online - like a new product they are developing or a new plant they are setting up. Gives a good topic to discuss during breaks.
