Since I got an outstanding response, I have decided to go ahead.

So here it is :

"Gandhi met Kallenbach in 1904 while working as a young lawyer in Johannesburg, and the two men are said to have become fast friends," GlobalPost Senior Correspondent for South Africa Erin Conway-Smith said.

"Today you can visit and even sleep in the house that Kallenbach designed for Gandhi in 1907, and where the men lived together for about two years."

Gandhi lived with Hermann Kallenbach, a German-Jewish bodybuilder and architect, in the years before he travelled back to India.

In 2011, the government considered criminalizing any insult to the Independence leader after Gujarat banned Lelyveld's book for daring to suggest Gandhi might have had a homosexual affair.

By buying and displaying the controversial letters, India would be demonstrating a new willingness to embrace Gandhi in all his complexity, rather than reducing him to a two-dimensional
Connecting to my previous thread on "Myths and Mythology", I thought it was the right time to get into the Archeological evidence on Mahabharata.

Are you ready?

1. Senior archaeologists at the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) claimed that the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata could date back to 1500-2000 BCE, instead of 900-1000 BCE (Obviously, it can't be without

The claim follows the findings at the excavation site of Sanauli, 68 km away from Delhi, includied “war chariot” allegedly driven by a horse, a rusted bow & arrow, a burial site and ochre coloured pottery, war shields, whip, torch and an antennae sword with hilt.

2. The marine Archeologists have found some massive fort walls, piers, the jetty, near the city of Dwarka in Gujarat. They have found the entire city submerged in the ocean.

The verse of Mausala Parva of Mahabharata decribes the disappearance of the city in the ocean :

"After all the people had set out, the ocean flooded Dwarka, which took away the wealth of all kind. Whatever remained of the land was washed away by the ocean.

The excavations carried out during 1979 in the Dwarkadhish Temple Complex revealed three temple remains.
Today on the Birth Anniversary of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, I wish to narrate how our hero was treated by the Government then.

One of the several reasons, Sam Manekshaw was treated badly, is mentioned in the tweet below 👇🏽

When Dr.Abdul Kalam was the President, he visited Coonoor. On reaching, he came to know that Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw was in the Military Hospital there. Dr.Kalam wanted to visit Sam, which was unscheduled. Arrangements were made.

At the bedside, Kalam spent abt 15 minutes talking to Sam & enquiring abt his health.

Just before leaving Kalam asked Sam "Are you comfortable? Is there anything I could do? Do you have any Grievance ? or any requirement that would make you more comfortable?"

#sammanekshaw

Sam said "Yes Your Excellency, I have one grievance". Shocked with concern & anguish , APJ asked him what it was .

Sam replied "Sir, my grievance is that I am not able to get up & salute the most respected President of my beloved country".

Dr. Kalam held Sam's hand as both were in tears.

But the remaining part of the tale with regards to this meeting is the most essential part.
